Dane Mathiesen BA
Dane Mathiesen founded Boda Construction Ltd. with his business partner Brian Boyd in October 1995 with the plan to provide first class construction contracting services to clients for new homes and renovations.
Dane graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Arts, Geology Major in 1984. Before and during University Dane worked with his father in the bricklaying trade and after graduating worked as a carpenter as an employee and later with his own company developing his skills in the trade and business operations.
With Boda Construction Dane is responsible for the onsite management of construction projects and coordinates the other Boda team members and Project Superintendents ensuring the ‘Right People’ are assigned to each individual project. Dane’s exceptional trade skills along with his personal management skills ensure Boda’s projects run smoothly and efficiently.
Brian Boyd Dipl. Tech, AScT
Brian Boyd a founding partner with Boda Construction Ltd has a family background in architecture and art growing up with Artists as parents.
Brian attended the University of British Columbia and Simon Fraser University and later the British Columbia Institute of Technology, graduating with a Diploma of Technology in Building Construction, Economics Major in 1983. The time between university and BCIT, Brian worked as an apprentice carpenter and completed his apprenticeship and vocational training and attained his Interprovincial Journey Carpentry Certificate in 1981. In 1986 Brian achieved the professional designation of Applied Science Technologist (AScT) with the Applied Science & Technologists Association of B.C.
With Boda Construction Brian is responsible for the off site management of the construction operations, managing the sales, contract and project management of the employees, trades and suppliers. Along with Dane, Brian is responsible for client, designer and trade relationships and coordinates with Dane to ensure the projects run efficiently and smoothly.
