Mosquito Creek
Home RenovationOur clients loved this older home, especially the backyard setting, but the interior needed help. Living Radius Architecture designed this beautiful transformation. The new front entry received a new softened look, while the back half was raised by five feet, without affecting the streetscape view. Cedar siding and stucco retained the look, but upgraded building envelope. A new roof, fascias, trim and entry door updated the home. The new and existing finishes blend seamlessly.
The previous 60’s plan was dysfunctional with a small dining room and cramped galley-styled kitchen. An old wood fireplace was removed from the middle of the room and moved to an outside wall. This transformed the home into an open-concept design and with the raising of the ceiling, the results are amazing!
Modern cabinets are a custom-modified shaker style with flush-front and crisp reveal in vertical-grained white oak. An over-sized island serves as a breakfast bar, food prep station and gathering point for friends and family!
The transition is completed with a full folding glass door system seamlessly combining indoor and outdoor living.
